Arsenal news and transfers live: Hector Bellerin blow, Aubameyang twist

Hello and welcome along to today’s Arsenal live blog from .

There are now just 16 days left of this summer’s transfer window and after a horrible display away to Brentford on Friday night – where Mikel Arteta’s men lost 2-0 – the north London club will be looking to secure some important new signings before the transfer window shuts.

The Gunners have already signed Portuguese full-back Nuno Tavares, Belgian starlet Albert Sambi Lokonga and English centre-back Ben White for a combined £76million.

However, they are not done yet with technical director Edu still desperate to sign a goalkeeper to challenge Bernd Leno and an attacking midfielder to help ease Emile Smith Rowe of the creative burden.

Arsenal have also been linked with a few strikers this summer, with the likes of Tammy Abraham and Lautaro Martinez both mooted as potential replacements for Frenchman Alexandre Lacazette, who has less than 12 months remaining on his current deal.

With that in mind, make sure to stay with us throughout the day to keep up to date with all things Arsenal.
