Former CNN presenter, Piers Morgan has described Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat to Brentford in the Premier League on Friday night as ‘pathetic’.
Morgan, who is a huge fan of Arsenal, said he couldn’t do this for the next nine months.
Brentford defeated Arsenal at home, thanks to goals from Sergi Canos and Christian Norgaard.
Reacting after the game, Morgan took to Twitter to air his frustrations at Arsenal’s performances against Brentford, saying Mikel Arteta’s side were bullied.
“This is pathetic,” Morgan wrote. “We’re being bullied off the park by a team of players who’ve never performed in the Premier League.
“Even by Arteta standards, a new low. I can’t do this for the next nine months.”
He later added: “To be fair to Arteta, he did say Arsenal would surprise everyone this season – and they have: we’ve got worse.”
Arsenal’s next game is against Chelsea on August 22 at Emirates Stadium.
